To make firm the Educational Attachment between India and Germany, the Government of both countries has started a project. University Grant Commission of India and Academic Exchange Service have started “Indo-German Cultural Exchange Programme”. Through this project, the students of both countries may get Scholarships for Research Work. Scholarship will be given through University Grant Commission and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

German Academic Exchange Service (D.A.A.D.) offers Scholarship to Indian Research-workers and Scientists for Research-work in Germany. The name of this Project is “D.S.T.-D.A.A.D. Project based personnel Exchange Programme in the field of Engineering and natural Science 2010”.
Ph.D. Degree holders, who are engaged in Teaching or Research-work in any University or Research Centre, may apply for this Scholarship.
Selected candidates can research in Germany for 2 years. The amount of Scholarship is 1840 euro per month.

German Academic Exchange Service, Scholarship for International Students


German Academic Exchange Service, Scholarship for International Students, Scholarship for studying in Germany:

Government of German offers a number of scholarships to the students of developing countries. The students of developing countries (including India) can get scholarship through “German Academic Exchange Service”. The name of the scholarship is “Scholarship for Post-Graduate Courses with Special Reference to Developing Countries”. Through this scholarship students can study in various courses like Economics, Management, Engineering and Technical, Agriculture, Environment, Health Science, Mathematics, Education etc in the Universities of Germany. Scholars will also get the expenses of journey, staying and fooding expenses etc.

Who Can Apply:
Applicants should pass 4 years Graduation Courses with honours in desired subject. Candidates, who are Post-Graduate, may pass 3 years Graduation Courses. In academic qualification applicant should obtain at least 60% marks.

Medium of Education:
Most of courses are in English language in universities of Germany. Some courses are in English and German language. A few of courses are in German language.

Duration and Amount of Scholarship:
Scholarship is offered for maximum 2 years. One to six months-to learn German language. In this period students will get fooding and staying expenses and some pocket money also. Then the students have to admit in Post-Graduate courses. The amount of scholarship is 750 euro per month.

How to apply:
Candidates scholarship can get Application Format from the scholarship section of http://newdelhi.daad.de/ Candidates have to apply in A-4 size paper in own hand-writing. Applicants have to send two copies of Application Forms to DAAD. Passport size photograph is to be pasted in right place of Application Form. Candidates have to send two copies of Bio-Data, format collected from http://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/europass/home/vernav/Europasss+Documents/Europass+CV.csp), two copies of Letter of Motivation (why you want to study in Germany), two copies of Recommendation letters from your last institute, two copies of Confirmation Letter of Employment, photo copies of academic qualification, two copies School Leaving Certificate. Do not staple the documents. Application Form and documents should be sent to the address-“The German Academic Exchange Service, 72 Lodi Estate, New Delhi – 110003” within 31 august.
